What are Digital Certificates?

Digital Certificates are electronic credentials used to verify the identity of individuals, devices, or organizations in digital communications. They are issued by trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs) and are a core component of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Certificates are used in protocols such as Transport Layer Security (TLS) to establish secure connections.

What are Digital Certificates used for?

Digital certificates are used to authenticate entities, enable encryption, and ensure secure communication. They protect against attacks such as Spoofing and Man-in-the-Middle (MitM).
