What is Spoofing?

Spoofing refers to the act of disguising a communication or identity to appear as if it comes from a trusted source.

Common types of spoofing include email spoofing, where attackers send fraudulent emails posing as legitimate entities, and MAC or IP spoofing, where attackers alter the source MAC or IP address to hide their identity.
