RAT - Remote Access Trojan

Definition

What a Remote Access Trojan (RAT)?

A Remote Access Trojan (RAT) is a type of malware that allows attackers to gain unauthorized control of a victim’s computer remotely.

Once executed, RATs provide attackers (usually using a reverse shell) a way to access files, monitor user activity, capture keystrokes, and deploy additional malware.
