Phishing Attack

Definition

What is Phishing?

Phishing is a social engineering attack in which cybercriminals impersonate trusted entities such as banks, popular websites, or colleagues via email, text messages (smishing), or other communication methods to trick individuals into revealing sensitive information.

These messages often contain malicious links or attachments, asking victims to provide personal data like passwords, credit card numbers, or login credentials.
