What is the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)?
The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to defining and promoting best practices for ensuring security in cloud computing environments.
Established in 2009, the CSA brings together experts from across the cyber security, IT, and cloud industries to develop frameworks, guidelines, and certifications that help organizations secure their cloud infrastructures.
The CSA focuses on educating organizations about cloud security risks and promoting effective security strategies for leveraging cloud services while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
It is responsible for key initiatives and contributions such as the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM), Security Trust Assurance and Risk (STAR), CSA’s Top Threats to Cloud Computing and CSA Cloud Security Training and Certifications (like the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
